That’s more a solution than you might guess.
My understanding is that the travel ban is for airline travel only.
If you’re driving from NYC to FL, you’re totally legal.
This is looking more and more like mass panic and hysteria. “Pneumonia is a old man’s friend”, as is “Open the window and let pneumonia in” for a reason. No one lives forever.

Ok serious question. Regardless of the fact we are "essential," for those of us that live in Florida how can we comply with the order to quarantine for 14 days "EVERY" time we come back from NYC? Its one thing to be essential to go to work, but I will be in perpetual quarantine from my family and in my case my home doesn't have a valid place to quarantine, so do I go live in a hotel for however many months? I don't see how we can comply with the law and fly into and out of NYC/

Otherwise National Guard has all incoming passengers fill out a form with their quarantine information.

I'm just trying to figure out what super power we have at not getting the virus. i.e. you fly a one day, uber to the hotel/crashpad, fly next day 1 day uber/crashpad, fly third one day uber/crashpad and somewhere in there have to eat then return home. When you commute home, you aren't doing a thing for the airline, so how would you be exempt of the 14 day when you get back from a trip. Every trip home would require a quarantine from your family and neighbors. So to me the exemption only means you can't be arrested/detained while performing the functions of your job. Essentially we are blowing off any recommended self quarantine recommendations and/or requirements from the President on down to fly 25 people in the back of an aircraft.

Probably too political, but here goes:
Where do states get off restarting the free movement of US citizens between states? Where do they derive that authority? Do they have statutory emergency powers that allows them to do this? I’m genuinely curious.
For example:
Can Rhode Island prohibit the entry of New Mexicans during flu season now? Or force a quarantine for, I don’t know, a year?
This is just nuts.
