I'd take that bet except testing is very light and non-hospital cases aren't getting the test. I think we know who to thank for that.

Im in South Florida. Hot zone here. It’s been great! No idiot drivers out on the way to the grocery store. I love it! No joke, with the lack of traffic I’m probably way safer now then before the virus.

Coronavirus could kill 81,000 in U.S., subside in June - Washington University analysis https://reut.rs/2UlKvWz

This analysis predicts up to 162K deaths. Nothing to sneeze at, but hardly into the millions as many on this forum have repeated. And that’s their worst-case scenario. I think Corona might end up being the Mad Dog virus. Starts strong, but once you turn on the anti-ice it’s pretty much done.

From the coronavirus document for pilots on the flight ops page:
Why working crews are exempt from certain self-quarantines:
... We also have to treat nonrevs like the general population, which across a broad population lowers the risk.

So doesn't that mean commuters non-revving from NY to FL are directed by an official government capacity to quarantine? Doesn't the exception only apply to WORKING crew, not leisure travel, which non-revving is?

My understanding is that the exemption for “working” crews includes those going to/from work.

How fast have the company test results been coming back?

Thinking about getting tested at the front end of a 4 day trip but I don’t want to get stuck somewhere if it comes back positive.

The serology test came back the next day. The swab is still an u known because the portal to view results was difficult to sort out. Speaking of the portal, if you don’t check it during your trip, you won’t know the results.
