Well done sir, very classy statement. I'm delighted to see how gleeful you are at the news that many pilots, FAs, dispatchers, and other fellow Americans have lost their jobs. Hopefully karma will come and bite you in the $$$ when your airline furloughs.
I don't think lumberjack meant it that way.
I commuted on Compass PHX-LAX quite a bit a few years ago. Great group. Never left me or any other commuter behind. Much respect.
Very sorry for what has happened to them. It is a function of the circumstances and fallout from an overreaction. Nothing more. Again, don't think lumberjack meant any malice.

.

Do ANY of you actually think that Delta is even a LITTLE bit worried about RJ scope right now??? REALLY? Pull your head out of the sand... Passenger REVENUE TODAY was only 3% of a “normal” April day. We “made” 2x as much yesterday and today from AMEX paying for SkyMiles as we did from passengers paying for tickets.

Today, in the Ministry of Propaganda video, John Laughter said that the Company “hopes” to get up to 30% of normal revenue during 3Q 2020 and 50% during 4Q 2020. That’s quite distant from today when our “box office take” is 3% of normal.

Yesterday, the number of TSA screenings TOTAL across the USA was 94,000 instead of the April 08, 2019 total of 2,400,000.

This is some bad juju. The Company had better come up with a plan to cull the pilot herd voluntarily for at for at least the next year, JUST TO SURVIVE.

SILs and an early-out program seem to me to be obvious, but I am not the CEO.

Aside from Compass employees losing their jobs, this is great news for the pilot group and the industry as a whole.

Flow-down is only useful for a short period and only mitigates the pain of furloughs, but Scope PREVENTS furloughs in addition to it's daily benefits (QOL, schedule flexibility, etc).
Aside from one pilot group being thrown out onto the street, good thing for us is we can still take another pilot groups jobs with a flow down! Only if it comes to that though...

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear. I absolutely feel for your loss. This is a dark time for an amazing employee group. The silver lining is the tightening of scope, which, in the long term, benefits the pilot profession as a whole.

As a former regional guy, I totally understand the pain of working under incompetent ownership. Some guys on here complain about EB, but he's a saint compared to the revolving door of CEOs I experienced. I absolutely feel for the employees. When I was a commuter, the Compass crews were the funniest and most easy going crews I ever met. You could tell they really enjoyed their jobs and took pride in it. It's a shame that they were sold to TSH and then ran into the ground.

There is no flow back with anyone now that compass is gone . And if furloughs occur , the 35 RJ900’s are already parked . They are included in the 110 Delta/Endeavor Aircraft that are already parked

This doesn't affect us today, but Delta will survive, and they will one day want to max out 76 seat RJs again.

Cornavirus didn't end the 36 E175s flying at Compass. They were scheduled to leave to Republic & Skywest this month all along. However, the pandemic did precipitate their contact suddenly ending with AA, and hence the airline shutdown

According to the Compass DO during a conference call last month he said the flow back was dead when compass was sold to TSH. But he also tried to takeoff with one engine running, so there’s that.

Yea I think he was mistaken. Otherwise scope would have been reduced years ago.

Same guy claimed he landed with zero fuel in the tanks all the time. During the days of super fuel conservation with UAL. Anything coming out of his mouth is complete nonsense.
