People are done being locked up. They are getting on with living.

It was a beautiful weekend in Tahoe. Crowds everywhere. Mask wear yes but not entirely.

Interesting read. I’m not sure I understand his premise with the jump from 60% to 90% after reaching herd immunity due to “momentum.” He says that once R0 is under 1, you couldn’t start an epidemic, but he says that existing infections would increase by 50% once herd immunity is reached? So about 100 million more infections? In other words, if COVID started with an R0 of 1, it would result in 100 million infections, but that wouldn’t be a big deal?

He’s also saying that multiple countries are attempting to employ herd immunity as a strategy, but that’s not happening here. Science is working at a record pace here on therapies and vaccines. So it’s not a strategy, but the outcome of herd immunity before vaccine is a distinct possibility. To think that how we treat the disease won’t evolve resulting in a lower fatality rate along the way is ridiculous however. Just look at HIV. Originally a death sentence, now oftentimes virtually curable.

I certainly hope so. Seems that airlines are at capacity until the end of the month. Some are slower to adjust than others.

With regards to the second wave, I believe that those who are set on traveling and booking will continue. They are over it. But we will hit a ceiling somewhere.

Look at the numbers. I like covid19info.live. Cases are going way up. But deaths are not. We have a fair handle on it. Shelter the most vulnerable. Masks on the planes. Fill them up. Let’s go.

Ironic that the man who refuses to wear a mask, and who has helped sow distrust of the CDC and their recommendations amongst the population, is now downplaying this news story because the affected staffers.......(wait for it).........wore masks. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...-idUSKBN23T327

So do masks help mitigate spread or do they not? Is it too much to ask for Cheeto and his campaign to at least be consistent in their positions and messaging?

I know one thing... I don’t care what advice a pilot gives about financial planning, its all bs.

but when it comes to hookers in Florida... I think i can take it to the bank.

Then beat her up and get your money back. GTA

Broke 600,000 yesterday. I believe we’re on track to hit 50% of last year late July, early August. That would be around 1.3 mil per day. Possible with added flights for July.

A buddy and I were sitting at a bar last night and we called up a mutual friend who lives in Eastern PA. He's dumbfounded that we're sitting at a bar while he can only get takeout only with a mask on. Bars/restaurants have been open here for week, and the only people wearing masks are the staff. At least in this area, people are over the lock down.
