Congratulations to Delta's retirees

With all the negativity going on everywhere these days, I just wanted to hop in and say congratulations and thank you to all our coworkers who are leaving the property tomorrow. I ran into a guy a few days ago who was taking our jet for his final flight. I really enjoyed flying with him on the few occasions we did. I'm sure I could say the same for most of you.
Fair winds and fluffy clouds, and best of luck to whatever you end up doing now!

Thank you for throwing me a lifeline. I won't ever forget it.

there are some good people leaving us tomorrow. Guys I've shared beers and meals with and lots of good conversation. I'm sad because this is not what they deserve. They deserve the water cannon salute, the applause from passengers on their last landing, their families shedding tears, the sheet cake from Safeway, and the handshakes from the chiefs. This is what they deserve. Not leaving with a whimper.
Sincerely, thank you all the retirees for showing me what it meant to be a Delta pilot. You've shown class and it was a privilege to fly with you.

Congrats to you all on your retirements.
As a UNA, and as much as the upcoming furlough hurts, I feel bad for how quickly a lot of your careers ended. I’m sure it wasn’t how you dreamt it up. Know that regardless of how quickly the company is kicking you to the curb (and how little they have acknowledged it in public comms), you have the respect and admiration of your fellow pilots.
Good luck and enjoy your much deserved time off.
