A returning UNA is (presumably) fairly low on the seniority food chain so their "dream bids" (in the example above) may not be honored as those vacancies may already be filled when the AE combobulator gets to the UNA's preferences. However, a UNA can hold reinstatement rights as they were MD'd from some category to become UNA. Therefore, if their previous category still exists (not ATLM88B, NYC717B, etc) and the UNA pilot has requested it, they will be reinstated to their previous category before a more senior pilot will be awarded an AE to that category.

Ok, thanks. So for UNAs the system still looks at the “dream bid” first and awards it if open. If not, it keeps running till it gets to your reinstatement category (of course if it still exists) and then gives you “top” seniority. I was NY before turning UNA and trying to get to another base, whichever category. If nothing is open (most likely), then I’d like to come back to the the same category in NY.

Is there an option in iCrew that allows you to convert after junior pilots, and does this still apply to an AE for a UNA pilot (myself)?

1) UNAs will not have reinstatement rights. 2) UNAs will be hour protected as long as someone jr to them is actively flying if these rumors are true I wonder if the company will cancel this AE if the TA goes to vote |

That’s my bet-AE cancellation.

An interesting side note. If you look at the category list put out on 31 Oct 2020 for 01 Dec 2020 you will note it has 491 pilots listed as “FUR.” I guess we now know how many would have been initially furloughed....
