Has anyone received a category freeze from April AE that isn’t correct. My award drove a training event that was less than 13 curriculum days, but ICREW shows my freeze expiring in April 2023. Seems to be crickets from all departments these days. Just curious if anyone else ran into this and was able to have it remedied.

I had it on my initial upgrade. Short course like you're talking about. I emailed the Training Schdulers and they responded and fixed it.

Got NYC 7ERA in the April AE... just got VTS notification of training starting on Dec 27th.... atleast I'm guaranteed to have Xmas off... coming from DTW717A

Where do you find the category freeze?

After a few minutes digging around iCrew, I gave up and humbled myself to beg the interwebs for info.

This seems to be fairly common. At this point it needs to be automatically reviewed by DALPA. We can't let them play the "deny deny deny" game and only when caught on an individual basis be required to follow the PWA. DALPA reviews lines and AE's, they need to review at least all short course freezes to make sure they're correct.

Removing the long course was an easy fix. I sent one email to the training planner last night and the long course for December was removed this AM. They advised me I will be scheduled for the differences course in January. Woohoo! I can bid for Christmas off. The 2 year freeze is still in iCrew so I'll follow up on that after finishing the short course. The other outstanding item is the pay protection for converting junior pilots ahead of me from the same bid. I'm told it happens automatically when they run a report on the 15th of the month.
