Fight breaks out on Delta flight

"Getting" out of control?! Where have you been? Lol. Reports say he got annoyed when the guy behind him put something in the seat back pocket during boarding. If I had to punch everyone behind me who did that, kicked the seat, pulled on it while getting up and down, etc. I could become a professional boxer! WTF is wrong with these asses?!

There's no affirmative duty to intervene if you're a non-crewmember in this situation.
Doing so will most definitely land you in a very expensive civil suit, and depending on how the video rolls and the perps involved, you could wind up with criminal charges from both state and local authorities.
It's a sit sandwich, that's for sure, but as a "rich airline pilot" with a big umbrella policy (you do have one, yes?), you're a primo litigation target.
There's more detailed (non video) link with names and some unintentionally funny quotes here: https://news.yahoo.com/delta-passeng...212016524.html
"Seriously?" asks one passenger in the video as he places his hand to his forehead in exasperation. "I already missed one flight!"
----
I'm actually amazed that a news site got their hands on the video, which airlines do a very good job suppressing for obvious reasons. I did notice that the included footage of the American Airlines passenger in cuffs was sanitized (face blurred) because of other obvious reasons (think "United in Chicago", several years ago).

Another thought:
Perhaps previously convicted felons shouldn't be allowed to travel on airlines, ever again?
No "right to travel on airlines", after all, and with facial ID for boarding right around the corner, the technology is going to make this trivially easy to detect.
Wonder how much of the potential customer base that would affect?
Then again "safety first".

The FA’s are on the battlefield every day risking their lives back there. It’s a war zone and they need all available resources to them. Pepper spray, cattle prods, whatever it takes. They are so brave.

AYFKM???? Spray pepper spray in a enclosed pressurized tube? Thats the stupidest idea I have ever heard. Have you ever used pepper spray? If you are on the ground you'll end up having to cancel the flight and other flights afterwards to clear the smell out. If you're in the air good god man, it will be 10 times worse.
