Price? Why would Boeing discount when that product makes them money. Maxes and 777X aren’t paying the bills. We could probably even get our hands on used A330CEOs dirt cheap.

I just don’t understand this rumor for a whole other fleet type. What’s the motive?

Airbus is a better long haul airplane. Yokes are so 1940s. Personally, I hate the stick for anything other than the 12 hours where you aren't using it. For those 12 hours though... ooooooh laa laaaaa

That is all.

Those 787, might come with some scope relief clauses. I’ve been getting info that some backdoor negotiations it’s been done by our Chairman or someone he sent. It could be just rumors...

I just hope, whatever comes down the pipe, it goes to a vote.

If that's the case, I don't think Delta will be getting 787s. No way this group agrees to any scope relief.

But, but, but...it’s the 787

When will we learn? If the company wants an airplane they will buy it. Duping us to “pay” for it with co tract relief is simply gravy for them. It’s that simple.

Ever since JA was elected chairman, I've heard rumors about him trying to give up scope for this or that. Nothing of the sort has borne out, and in fact his own rhetoric (little thought it may be) has been pretty much "you can hold the line and be proactive too". I liked RS's results, but whether anyone likes it or not, JA's the guy in charge now. Let him work for us.

The company is trying to use new airframes in order to get scope relief? Brilliant. Why haven't they tried this before? (Sarcasm)

Totally opposed to any LOA to change TOE’s.
1. Not safe.
2. Not necessary.
3. It will reduce manning while we have UNA pilots.
4. It will reduce green slips and assignments. They don’t want to properly staff categories after the great AE fiasco last year. Not our fault.
5. Of course they want us to fix their mistakes.

What am I forgetting?

I like a well-reasoned argument. Not being an international guy, tell me what is unsafe about an experienced airline pilot flying domestic trips prior to getting checked out to fly across the pond? I need more info to cheer you on...
