Sign me up! It's where i'm headed.......Think I can squeeze 2 years out of it before being MD'd off?

Is the plan to keep them till 2025 still? I’m eyeing that as a respite till better seniority on something bigger.

Respite from what? One mans trash is another mans treasure, but I think the current trip mix is awful. Back when we had an LA and NY base (and even Minny for a little bit) you could get a pretty good mix of trips with FL layovers in the winter, west coast trips, some decent stuff In the northern plains in the summer. Now it’s all Atl hub turns all day with a plane change about 90% of the time. Layovers have been getting pretty short as well with the optimizer. Nothing like a 5 legger to a 10+15 layover. I’ve been on it almost 6 years but I’m out on this last AE, just couldn’t stand it anymore.

I’m on the 320 and my layovers have been consistently shorter than they used to be too. I bid commutable trips so that plays a roll as well. I’d say 80% of my layovers are 11:30-12:30, with a 15-17 hour layover here and there, every other or third trip. I think it’s a result of the COVID schedule. We are adding a lot of flying in June, hopefullly it improves a little.

Quick question what type of rest facility do we have on our 400s??
Is it separate from the FAs?
TIA

Separate. D1 seat, curtain is pretty thick though, but doesn’t filter out the first meal service dish clanging completely. Ear plugs are a must. Also there is a locked luggage bin for our use only, so you don’t have to worry about FA’s stealing blankets or pillows.

Thank you !

The flight attendants all have keys unless it’s different than the A330 setup. It does keep the passengers out.

I believe the keys are universal. But this is also why you check it and lock it immediately on boarding. Never once had an issue with a FA unlocking the bin and stealing anything, as it would be obvious exactly what happened. Not saying it never happens, but…

It's never the FAs because they know we would raise holy hell. But on more than one occasion when someone didn't lock the bin (guilty) or it didn't have a lock (757s) I have gone on break to find the bin raided and a passenger seated nearby who mysteriously found 4 pillows and 3 blankets with which to construct their own pillow fort. Incredibly aggravating.
