Same here, lithium batteries, solar panels and a small generator. Go anywhere with all the conveniences.

Congrats Hank, Denny, Turbo and everyone else jumping off he hamster wheel. Enjoy doing whatever you want. You've definitely earned it.

Drive the ALCAN
 

When Canada opens up, you’ve got to drive the ALCAN, at least one direction, from the Lower 48 through BC and Yukon all the way to Anchorage and/or Fairbanks, or back the other way.

Some people rent rigs and drive one way and either fly or cruise the other.

You'll end up staying in the same campgrounds as a lot of other people you’ll start to recognize and make friends.

Make a summer of it. Drive up and spend time exploring with your rig. You will not regret it.

Just got my rig, that's on my bucket list.

It’s on my list too, as soon as those crazy Canadians open the border. I may go next summer, whether or not I retire... I figure I just need to string about 60 days together, if I can pre position my rig in Seattle at my kids place, then jump into the journey from there. I was going this year, but the Canadians have trashed my plan this year. I’m still considering flying up to anchorage and renting a class C for two weeks. Two weeks with mileage and insurance is about $4500, but it saves about 9000 road miles from and to ATL, which translates to about $3000 in fuel alone. Renting a RV isn’t that bad, especially if you are time limited. But driving The ALCAN is on my bucket list.

I feel by leaving when I did I am actually purchasing additional life expectancy. Good rest, good food, no stress, more exercise than I had. Haven't worn a wristwatch since I left and don't expect I ever will again. The physical act of flying I miss A LITTLE.....everything else about it.......nope. Every day is Saturday

this is one of my dreams right here.

I always thought it'd be super cool to drive from Key West all the way to Alaska. Or even push it further and drive from the southern tip of Argentina all the way to the northern tip of Alaska...but I think there's a stretch in Central America that's unpassable?
