It really is a good problem to have when you understand what’s driving it is the fact that demand came back much quicker than predicted.

I predicted waaay back this would happen. We cut too deep. Big mistake. Just tweaked my elbow patting myself on the back.
Delta makes significant changes to my reservation without my asking/request to do so. I look for options that suits my needs via Delta's flight modification process through logging into Sky Miles. I can't rebook a flight that shows as available by checking the flight availability as if I am making a new reservation from scratch. The rebooking attempt through Sky Miles shows as "unavailable" or "not offered". These words are the exact verbage. If I request a flight e-credit and try to rebook using the credit it won't cover the cost of a new reservation (same travel day, same seat class). Gee, how economically "convenient for Delta, huh? For those who fall victim to these shenanigans there is a process for fighting back. https://airconsumer.dot.gov/escompla...nsumerForm.cfm I have already started my official Consumer Right's complaint form. |

My brother's wife likes to fly AA... they've been late to pretty much every family get-together for years. And the one in two weeks isn't looking good either.
It happens. And covid didn't help. |

Maybe THIS should be included in the godawful welcome aboard PAs left seaters make. I bet Delta would stop messing with people then :D

What then will they have to lord over us cattle as we stare dumbly toward the front of the plane? |

As mentioned above: this whole process comes across as a dubious business practice. A new low with respect to the traveler's airline experience. Here's the synopsis:

This seems to have zero to do with PS. It’s about a paid/sky miles ticket? |
I’m currently on vacation in Mexico, bought the package from delta vacations, like a regular customer, applying our discount through delta perks. Had a question about the return leg and decided to use the chat process to try and get the answers.
Should have been a 2-3 minute process tops. Request the chat and got placed in the queue and then got pinged every few hours through the night to ask if I’d still like help, heavy call volume yada yada... 15 HOURS later sitting by the pool, I get what I think is a live person, answering my questions in under a minute. She then makes the tragic mistake of asking me to take the customer service survey... If we don’t fix this crap, we’re in trouble. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Why did you title this thread “Delta Positive Space Shenanigans”?
