🤣🤣🤣 Wait that’s not what you are supposed to do?

New hire pilots will now receive a uniform kit (jacket, 2 pairs of pants, hat, epaulets, tie and 2 shirts) courtesy of Delta.

In addition, all pilots hired on or after 3/16/2020 will have a retroactive payment of $480 to cover the cost.

seems like an odd date to pick. Everyone hired after Nov1, or post Covid or even everyone hired after 1/1/20 would have made at least some sense, but it seemed odd to go with all post Covid hires and the last 2 classes of pre Covid hires. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad they got it, just seemed odd.

let’s hope we can push for a uniform allowance for all pilots in the next contract to match this.

No to leather. Looks so bad.

Yes to keeping our current uniform. Yes to the hat. The Yankees don't change their classic uniforms, neither should we.

Plenty of airlines to work at if you want to look unprofessional.

At the very least - if my choices lose - please retain it for international.

i don’t work on a transatlantic steam ship, so I see no reason to maintain the look as if I do. Modernize the uniform for modern professional lewks.

But I agree that the goofy leather jacket ain’t it.

March 2020 lines up with passage of the CARES Act. I'm guessing the uniform money is "free cheese".

GMAFB. The Yankees uniforms look good and are functional. Our jackets are dated suck to travel in, unless of course you’re hiding an extra 40 lbs or so. Suggesting folks go to another airline because you don’t want the uniform to be updated is asinine.

1) i thought cares passed in April

2) that does not make much sense, And if it was the case, why just 2 classes?

I'd like to see a jacket similar to this as an option.. Something that is water-resistant, breathable and can have a fleece liner for the cold months. Way more functional than the ridiculous suit jackets that necessitates us having an additional overcoat for inclement weather.

I thought you were trolling but now I'm seeing what you're saying. Something less double breasty and something breathable.
