Still only 1 FO who has marked themselves willing to serve.

A simple search for "ALPA" or "DALPA" could explain why just about anyone is crazy to consider working for the masses. Can't think of many more thankless jobs myself.

Then you are ignorant of the circumstances of how he got fired. He stood on principal against DH, who wanted to send raw, unprocessed ACE reports over en masse as one big batch, complete with emotional statments by pilots who SK felt would be very likely subject to discipline should the company read them. DH, laughed, said "I don't care, send them over." When SK refused, he was fired. #Fact

If you don't belive me, I encourage you to ask him personally.

SK isn't afraid to call a spade a spade. Apparently that's "not working well with others". When fools get called out, they tend to lash out. (Not saying that's you). It's about time C44 had a Rep like that. SK is a good dude, and one of very few demonstarted pilot advocates. All those Scheduling Alerts over the last 5 years? That's all SK spreading the knowlege.

Did the reports get sent? Was discipline administered? Genuinely curious.

I trust SK over DH and all the current C44 reps especially DA. He will be an asset to the pilot group and hopefully counter some of the absurdity we’ve seen from C44 and C20.

Genuinely curious, do you not think there is absurdity in the other councils? Or do they walk on water?

Do other councils elected reps decide it’s appropriate to attend a MEC meeting, for which they are getting paid, and when someone is speaking who they don’t like pull out a newspaper and pretend they are reading it. Demonstrating they think acting like a 4 year old throwing a tantrum is an appropriate way to represent DL pilots. Oh yeah, all 6 reps from both 44 and 20 did this. So I guess you can lump those two together in the garbage heap.

not saying other councils walk on water, but 44 and 20 reps are a special breed of absurd.

not one of them deserves to be elected to any position in ALPA after that.

Does that surprise you? Most anyone I ask if they would be willing to serve give me a range between "no' and "hell no."

I just saw a workers stocking today’s NY Times. What used to be a mundane task looked oddly foreign. I nearly bought one for nostalgia
