Walking up wouldn't be an issue if we knew we're weren't going to be stuck with a middle seat in row 38, even more so if I knew I were getting a first class seat. If it's "not that big of an issue," then it shouldn't be hard for the company to do.

Just as 2.75% a year would never fly with the pilot group 3 billion was never going to fly with the company.
Source your 3 billion opener please. You said in the past you had no clue what the opener was, now
you know it is 3 billion? How did the opener get costed out if they didn’t even present the whole deal to the company? They hadn’t even gotten to most sections so your claim of 3 billion is highly suspect.

Copy…you know the FOM says to do it, but you admit to just walking up to the GA and adding to his/her workload during boarding for something you are supposed to do.

Noted.

A little ridiculous don’t you think? What about re-routes or late flights? Or bad internet access? Or travelnet is down? This is somehow ignoring the FOM? The stupid stuff that people post on here sometimes.

If you don’t see the hypocrisy of Sailings constant use of FOM and DLNet as gospel, but then him saying he intentionally blows off the same FOM because it suits him, then I got nothing for you.

And since he’s living on the WB Int’l high hog, I’m assuming he doesn’t get last second notice of his next leg DH like us NB stooges do requiring him to run the gate and ask the gate agent to list him. Isn’t that what all the WB guys/gals says…”we don’t get RR’d”? So he should have one plenty of time to follow the FOM for DH procedure.

Stupid is as stupid does

Okay, fair enough if you are calling out his hypocrisy. Context matters and I missed that.

I got the context...division is stronger than unity. The only important things are things that affect me.
Even if someone is supporting the cause we will still belittle them.

That about sum it up DWC?

I have never said I have no clue what the opener was. I am very comfortable with the 3 billion on here and others reported basically the same in discussions with their reps. You can still read the conceptual opener. Go look at it again. There were some details that went beyond conceptual. I just posted the vacation section. It was a giant ask basically doubling vacation costs if not more. I also know we asked for a 25% DC and raises that compounded to almost 40% over 3 years. Many of those sections compound on each other. A pilot making 300k currently gets 48K in DC funds. 40% raise takes that 300K to 420K. 25% DC on 420K is 105K a year verses the current 48K. Total comp goes from 348k to 525k. The vacation proposal would for a 20 year pilot take him from the current 5 weeks and 126 hours to 7 weeks and 257 hours assuming no ADG change plus the need for probably at least a 1000 pilots more for the summer schedule. If we increase the ADG to 6 hours a day that 257 becomes 294 hours since our ask was ADG for each vacation day. Carry that over to training since the ask was the same. If anything 3 billion was a conservative number. I asked several reps if it was a valid number. The answer was its ballpark but they would not get specific.
If our ask was something reasonable which I consider something in the 1.5 billion range you can bet your ass the union would be screaming it out loud right now because it would quite rightly galvanize the pilot group and show the company never intended to negotiate in good faith. It would be far more effective than taking off our hats.
