I have walked up many times. I guess I don’t see the big issue however in adding your name to the booking the company created. Lugging a 50lb flight kit I considered a issue. Adding my name to a booking is pretty far down in the noise for me, “Do we have to work every Thursday.”
Walking up wouldn't be an issue if we knew we're weren't going to be stuck with a middle seat in row 38, even more so if I knew I were getting a first class seat. If it's "not that big of an issue," then it shouldn't be hard for the company to do.

I am a advocate of short on time contracts. Compounding and dragging your peers up with you is the only way to beat the RLA. 2.75% a year however was never going to fly with the pilot group or me. The company knew contract 2019 was going to be expensive. They knew they were going to need to open the check book. They were however stunned by our 3 billion open on a 5.5 billion contract. Just as 2.75% a year would never fly with the pilot group 3 billion was never going to fly with the company.
you know it is 3 billion? How did the opener get costed out if they didn’t even present the whole deal to the company? They hadn’t even gotten to most sections so your claim of 3 billion is highly suspect.

A little ridiculous don’t you think? What about re-routes or late flights? Or bad internet access? Or travelnet is down? This is somehow ignoring the FOM? The stupid stuff that people post on here sometimes.

And since he’s living on the WB Int’l high hog, I’m assuming he doesn’t get last second notice of his next leg DH like us NB stooges do requiring him to run the gate and ask the gate agent to list him. Isn’t that what all the WB guys/gals says…”we don’t get RR’d”? So he should have one plenty of time to follow the FOM for DH procedure.

If you don’t see the hypocrisy of Sailings constant use of FOM and DLNet as gospel, but then him saying he intentionally blows off the same FOM because it suits him, then I got nothing for you.

Source your 3 billion opener please. You said in the past you had no clue what the opener was, now
you know it is 3 billion? How did the opener get costed out if they didn’t even present the whole deal to the company? They hadn’t even gotten to most sections so your claim of 3 billion is highly suspect.

If our ask was something reasonable which I consider something in the 1.5 billion range you can bet your ass the union would be screaming it out loud right now because it would quite rightly galvanize the pilot group and show the company never intended to negotiate in good faith. It would be far more effective than taking off our hats.
