Sounds like the “problem engines” are flying domestic.

many have come in and out of ETOPS due to engine margin issues. Happens constantly, but at no time has the fleet’s overall ETOPS approval been threatened. That’s just rumors and telephone game silly stuff

I never said the whole fleet, and if someone thought that was implied, my bad.

People have said it on here, and manically we have a few jets that do nothing but ATL-MCO. And I know a few people on the ER that told me about 767s crossing with more MELs than they have ever seen. And have you ridden in our 767-300s recently? They are a little tired.
No one said hope for new jets. But I think we need new jets.

point is really that a lot of our airplanes are old, tired, junky. But these silly rumors and fleet is at a threat of ETOPS certification, give me a break lol. If that was even remotely true the airline would be making swift moves quickly to replace the planes. Get use to them being around a while.

I fly the fleet and yes they are old. Have you flown on our 332’s and 333’s? They are just as junky. A lot of airplanes here are old and tired. I just deadhead last week on a 333 from Milan and the D1 cabin looks worse than our retrofit 767’s. There was speed tape holding pieces together in my seat. Lol. Looks like it hadn’t been touched since we got it.

Purely for fun gee whiz stuff, the youngest 767 is a year older than the oldest A330. If we could wave a magic wand and swap all 767s for 330s, we’d have a boatload more true WB A (by pay) so I’d be curious how far junior it would go, 5-6000?

you’d have to also factor in the large % of 7ER fleet is 757 and/or 767 domestic ops too.

Yeah trying to factor that in is tricky. I think 5-something is where it would land. Likewise it would bring WB B back lower.
