Seeing a Cruz - Sanders - Rubio - Warren - Hawley coalition (they are the ones on the record against forcing this) tie this up in the senate long enough to put the heat back on the rail bosses is the best outcome. If they can play the arcane Senate procedural game against the set strike deadline (12/9) I suspect the rail companies will ultimately capitulate to avoid a strike.

This works well for us. If they blocked the rail strike and then pilots representing less than 20% of the industry, that will be the end of the 2024 elections. They cannot afford to block another strike and pretend to be the party of labor.

A very plausible scenario. Rail bosses add 4 days paid sick and everyone claims a win.

Pfffft. Don’t I wish. You forgot about that little part where the elections are no longer untampered with.

…and Congress backs the big rail bosses. Sick leave shot down.

Hint. Please have integrity and stop spreading misinformation. It undermines anything of value that you are trying to convey(of which you have great points. ) This data may be corrupted until the feds push the official numbers, but I could not find a single source that refuted it. Feel free and I will be an adult and say I’m wrong. “While both parties have their billionaires, Republicans have many more. Of the 25 top donors this cycle, 18 are Republican, according to Open Secrets, and they have outspent Democrats by $200 million. Billionaires make up 20 percent of total Republican donations compared with 14.5 percent of Democratic donations.” If you can’t support your claim will you be mature and admit your error? If anyone is curious why I’m on this soap box is because I was subjected to 5 years of uncontrolled propaganda spewing by the left seat. I smile and wave and be a cameleon like I’m paid to, but man it gets old #stopthedisinformation |
How crazy is it that railroad management at the behest of hedge fund investors have cut workforce by 30% and cut ((ALL)) sick leave because they do not have the staffing to run the railroad if employees call in sick? It is beyond nuts that a guy told his wife of chest pain, but he had to go to work and flipping died of a preventable heart attack on the job.
And Ted Cruz is blabbing on Fox that this is "socialist" and the Senate should not be involved when (1) his own staff starts with 20 days paid sick & (2) Ted Cruz is a graduate of f'n HARVARD LAW SCHOOL it isn't like he doesn't fully know that the Railroad Labor Act specifies the exact remedy that the President (and that any President) has to follow. Cruz just likes to see things burn, especially if he thinks he can promote himself. Just in case you need a picture of the ******* that got us (Americans) here: https://static.foxbusiness.com/foxbu...an-REUTERS.jpg |
