Biden backs rail bosses

Looks like Biden is asking Congress to impose the TA onto the rail workers and avert a strike before Christmas. So much for the Democrats having our backs.

You thought democrats had anyone’s back but their own? Lol. Roflol!!

Politicians only care about things that get them reelected. No one party truly has anyone's back.

The difference being that an NMB appointed by a Republican administration wouldn’t have even let them get to a cooling off stage. The current deal, while insufficient to a few of the labor groups involved, had gains that were achieved exactly because of the leverage created by the cooling off and PEB. So while you may chide the Biden admin, he likely did more for the labor groups than the Orange admin would have.

Besides, the Republicans’ current talking points are all about inflation, the economy, etc. So with that in mind, what would they then say if Biden allowed the whole country to be totally shut down during a rail strike?

Agreed.

Agreed.

It’s amazing how easy you can deflect responsibility and rationalize actions you probably normally find offensive.

Trump selected a pro labor member for the nmb. The republicans are traditionally anti union but the future migut not be an exact same story

I’ll bet if they paid train conductors half what we pay 350 captains they would have no trouble passing their ta. Biden is bending them over the barrel, just like Reagan did to the controllers, but 2022 style. Just because he is better that terrible doesn’t make him good, at all.

We can’t allow the Billionaires to have their businesses impacted. All politicians are bought.

That was some impressive deflection. I can’t wait to see your next trick. Riveting show so far…

I’m never offended by an Executive administration who appoints an NMB Board that will allow a labor group to be released to cooling off and self help.
