Our executives have stated countless times that we will have an agreement by the end of the year.

There is zero reason to settle now unless the MEC is unanimous.

The leverage is almost unlimited.

If there is a 9-8 jam down we left hundreds of millions on the table.

Our executives have stated that they were (I believe the words were) committed to getting a deal done by year end. That doesn’t mean they’re willing to roll over and give us everything we deserve. I want a fantastic deal as much as everyone, I just don’t think it’s in Managements nature to give it.

We will see soon enough. If it isn’t a great deal, I’m confident our brothers and sisters will recognize that and send it back. Also, by virtue of the history of our last go around, WRT TA1 and TA2, the negotiating committee and MEC know full well that the TA they send to us had better be good…..really good. No amount of screaming “PEB!!!!” at us will get a yes vote on a substandard contract.

Im optimistic that any AIP/TA will be really good, once it gets to us to vote on.

Oh, the power of Memory Rat!!

All I’m saying is we had a 99% strike vote and that means we deserve a unanimous MEC.

And I hope we do.

You’re high if you think Kolbus will ever vote yes on anything. Much easier to defend a no. He couldn’t face social media with a yes. Several other populists like him. Thus there will never be a unanimous MEC.

IF the deal meets direction (which should have been lofty given pilot input) the MEC should send it for MEMRAT. If not, send it back.

Reps that give direction, based on polling support, and later vote no are cowards.

My experience says at least 25% of the MEC is concerned more about posture than anything else.
