Default What is the future of MSP?

As an outsider looking in (with an app recently submitted), I am very curious about how things are looking at MSP in the future. First, in terms of the flying. Looking to expand, shrink, or pretty stable for the foreseeable future? I am curious how it works with DTW being so relatively close-by.

Second, in terms of the movement at the base. I hear that MSP is a very senior base, but is that likely to change in the future as many of the NWA guys retire? Any insight to MSP-based life would be appreciated. Thanks!

MSP has many large corporations HQ in the area. I think 2nd or 3rd most Fortune 500 companies for any city. The flying should stay as long as the companies stay. It is very senior I’m not sure how the future NWA retirements will will work with the large number local pilots hired since 2014. I know there are a lot of us that live in MSP and commute for seniority/WB positions.

MSP is rocksolid for Delta, not going anywhere but up. Lots of high value customers and fortune 500 companies in the area. No worries.

Oh sure yeah. If you’re senior to me, that’s all true. You probably should bid ATL or something to stay safe. Don’t ya know

And if you’re lucky, summer will fall on a weekend.

When Trump gets reelected we will take the Canada like Putin did the Crimea. Plan to cede MSP and possibly Detroit in the early days of the fighting. Will gain the Rockies, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and basically all of the thing West of Manitoba - manifest destiny Ver 2.0 & a land bridge to Juneau without having to break a windshield or two on crappy roads.

Saskatchewandians will be the most over-represented Americans in the Senate, replacing Wyoming as the State with 10 residents per Representative. Sarah Palin will move there.

At that point the trans-Canada pipeline will not really be the trans-Canada pipeline at all.
