I guess what I was thinking is that alpa suggests doing the auto accept at night to keep your phone from ringing... if I read it right... So.. do that and your are stuck with that 1 day trip instead of the 3 day, or something crappy rather than something good you could have had.

Regardless,
All hail C44. 😂

I see they have unlimited 23m7 to within 8 hours now, but it seems like we gave up something to get what we’ve already got… just with a promise of tracking and compliance. Not sure this was an overall good deal.

Exactly. I see this as exceedingly stupid after all the hard fought wins in this contract. And no where did I get any “polls” asking if I was good with completely getting rid of batch sizes.

Stop doing greenslips and they will start listening. Until then, since we gobble them up like candy, they won’t care. Capitalism.

Not arguing that. What I am saying is why in the crap did we negotiate this away? For a “promise” to better follow the rules? It’s stupid.

Maybe to put it behind us. Like pardoning Nixon. Time to move on.

Let's say we filed a grievance we knew we were going to lose. A grievance the company knew we were going to lose. How else do you stop the IA nonsense without giving up batch sizes, at least to an extent? And what if the company says "we'll stop doing it if you give up batch sizes." And when we say no, they say, "okay, we will just 23,M.7 even more. Thanks for playing.

Like the parable about the snake ... we knew what 23.M.7 was, and how it would be abused, when we (failed to) negotiate it.

You think the company would honestly just give it up without a quid? Because we asked nicely?

we could have one slip for trips greater than x time to report that is a proffer and another one for trips less than that time that is an assignment, but both in seniority order and both where you have to have a slip in.

So it's easier to reprogram PCS and add to the coverage ladder than it is to give the company discretion on batch sizes?
