Delta’s version of business casual is pretty outdated. Take a look at the rest of the company at the GO, plenty of jeans and still dressed professionally.

Someone must’ve ruined it for the rest of us and showed up in grass stained jeans or something.

or, more likely IMO, flight ops just likes doing things the way they have always done them.

Oh I'm sure thats 100% the reason. While I was joking, I'm sure some of these things are just written for the lowest common denominator, ie no one has to be the fashion police if they just keep it simple.

No way I can do a proper V1 cut in jeans. The sim might explode

WHAT?!?

Next you’re going to tell me there’s some kind of miracle “blue pill” for ED and that gold (or crypto) is the perfect investment.

Pshaw. Sell it to the next young fool.

constant delusion that personal appearance has anything to do with being a capable or professional pilot.

I stopped ironing my shirts on augmented flights since we have to sleep in our uniform anyway. Wear your uniform to bed pilots.

As much as i'd be fine with it, honestly it might feel ever so slightly weird to buckle in to the sim in jeans if you've been climbing into the sim in khakis and a button down for 20 years.

It's been uniform pants and shoes with the only golf shirt I own since day 1. If I can't wear shorts and flip flops, zero Fs given to fashion at the GO. BTW what's a "business casual?" White polish on the good NBs?

Spring '24 means fall '24.

There's no way to enforce (or even care) about exact pants fabric match when there's no jacket to compare it to.

The entire point of a Nov 1 deadline was because of winter uniforms. If it doesn't happen until spring, then it won't matter until next fall.

Not sure how wild a "rebellion" that is
