Twice I’ve had a pair of uniform pants ripped in a hotel van that had broken/jagged seatbelt fittings. Both times the expense report I submitted after replacing them was denied.
Cheap pants for me, and a spare pair in the layover bag.
It’s dumb attire for the job we do.

What kind of pants durable enough for van rides do you suggest?

I think the point was more about value vs durability. Why wear expensive clothes in an environment that tears (literally) them up? You can look just as good in $40 pants as you do in $140 pants.

I'm a fan fan of Ballroom Jeans. Perhaps there is a Ballroom Dress Pant in the future.

You are certainly confused. All posts on here are saved. Please find one where I say that someone looked like slob wearing a rain jacket on walk around. I don’t even know why I’m arguing with you. There is no argument. Wear the proper sh*t and there will be no issues. ****ed you can’t wear a NorthFace jacket on walk around then I suggest you go take it up with the chief pilot.

they tell you in Indoc what is approved and what isn’t.. give an inch and we’ll take a mile and then we have to be treated like babies and not adults because we can’t wear a uniform properly that we are PAID to wear to work. Too many people playing stupid games and it will ruin it for all

Of all things, why are we debating uniform wear during walk-arounds? Anything you’re wearing during a walk-around is completely overshadowed by a ridiculous-looking bright neon vest.

Personally, I couldn’t care less what anyone wears, FOM-compliant or not.
