Based on median seniority it’s 737, 320, then 220.
Based on junior plane it’s 220, 737, 320.
They are all close enough to not matter. Now, if you want to bid closer but can’t hold slc, consider lax and sea planes. Sea has all three while lax has all but the 220. All fairly junior.

I was bottom 10% seniority in my indoc and bid 320/737/220 any base. Was awareded 737 NYC on Monday of indoc and awarded SLC a week later when the June AE closed. The key was getting awarded any 737/320/220. I was one of the last 737s awarded. 717s went most junior. That said, every indoc class seems unique in drop and pilot desires.

Not sure what you mean by struggling with NYC craziness, you mean commuting/living there? Cant help ya there, but to your question about the airplane in general, i'd say the 717 is the closest thing we have to the RJ in terms of it's systems and such, as well as where the thing goes. If you were a previous east coast'ish RJ guy it's probably the easiest thing to slip in to. If thats what you were getting at. And I don't think i'd try to factor anything about re-routes into any of your calculus on what to bid, it's everywhere. I'd say less on the 717 though in my experience.
