Delta pilot virtual recruiting
Has anyone attended one of these virtual meet & greet type of interviews? They are difficult to book as there are limited slots and they get booked extremely quick.
I was speaking to a company that does interview prep and they mentioned that sometimes these meetings lead to the online assessment and are almost like the full on interview. Can't anyone confirm? Sounds to good to be true. |

I also have one of these online meet and greets scheduled for this month and was wondering if there was any info out there about what all is talked about/what to expect during the meeting.

- treat it like (dress for) an interview, but much more relaxed. - they usually have a holding/reception area where they station DAL pilot reps to just socialize with the applicants while you wait for your time slot for your face-to-face with a recruiter. Don't miss that. - it's a much more valuable use of your time (and theirs) if you already have an app on file with them. - Polish that resume, and take a couple of hard copies: 90% of the conversation will be a casual conversation about your resume. - be well-prepared for the three basic HR-type questions: "Tell me about yourself" (TMAY), "Why Delta?", and "Do you have any questions for us?" That's the framework of the entire conversation. - if you meet their mins, have an app on file, and can hold a conversation, you have at least a 50/50 chance of receiving an e-mail response of some kind within a week or two indicating that your app has had at least an initial review. Maybe: - some kind of advice/guidance to "fix this" on your app, or - at least an acknowledgement that your app has been reviewed, even though it is not quite competitive at the moment, but keep updating and they'll review it again soon (typically no less than 3 months) - ideally an invitation to take an assessment as the next first step towards an interview Be prepared, but relax and enjoy it. Good luck. |
