It's "Jackets off, gig line inspection" before each preflight checklist is started.

That’s a level of squared away I can only aspire to.

Really, it’s not hard. The cleaners is high speed, low drag. They do a better job than I ever could.

I had a college roommate that was a dirt merchant. Slept in his clothes, couldn’t spell razor with 5 letters spotted and was always surrounded with a cloud of funk. He liked to think he was some counter culture rebel, “stick it to the man”, but really, he was just a slob.

You don't need cleaners to look/be sharp. Pull the shirt out, run an iron over it, throw it on, takes less than the time it takes to check out at the cleaners. I also iron my shirt everyone morning on a trip. If you need the cleaners to make you feel like you're keeping a "sharp" mentality, you're probably making up for something.

That's exactly what I want and why I think it would be a waste negotiating captial. I'm not going to dry clean either way, but if you're going to negotiate it, make it an choice. I think the same thing about crew meals. I'm not eating that crap and bring my own food anyway.

Good lord, pilots are cheap.

Post Covid, many dry cleaners will pickup and drop off for a nominal or no-extra charge.

Replace lost/broken buttons as well.

you can buy one of those Samsung / LG closets that dry clean your clothes for you. They’re $1,000 - ish. They’re very slim too

I have a couple thousand dollars worth of machinery in my house for cleaning clothes. The attendant takes real good care of me.

Has nothing to do with cheapness. Washing them with the clothes I'm already washing and ironing them is easy and looks just as good. That's like the guy that called me cheap for not having my own headsets, nevermind that I own a set of Bose and 3 David Clarks for my planes, I just don't like lugging them around. Same dude thought I was crazy for paying a lawn service take care of my yard and that I pay for long term parking becuase it allows me to leave home 30 minutes later and I don't care to ride the employee bus that reeks of pot and is often standing room only. Some people just have different priorities.
