I live in LA and not moving , got awarded ATL717 as a NH. With the newish reserve rules ,
is it feasible to hangout in LAX while on LC and just use hotels if converted to short call?
Besides the 1 year Seatlock of the 717 before AEing back to LAX , is there a faster way of getting back?
What is the best reserve strategy for not being used ? ….. 3 days on blocks?

Hmm really? Have you been getting used a lot in DTW.? ATL has 13 flights a day and I can use SNA or ONT, so I was thinking there was a better chance of sitting at home then once called just head over to ATL

You may be holding a line quicker than you think in ATL717B. There is a lot of movement senior to you off the seat with every AE, and little/no movement in (the only movement in has been DTW717B's.) It will continue to be a newhire seat, and lately has been one of the best seats in terms of newhire seniority progression, at least in ATL.

Not true anymore. Reserve usage is down quite a bit and GS’s are drying up.
