Default Arcos calls?

So I got two notifications for GS today, but I never got any phone calls. I get the pop up banner on my phone, and eventually get an email, but my phone hasn't been called for an arcos notification for a while. Someone told me there is somewhere in Deltanet I need to check to see if my phone number is in there, but I forgot where they told me to go.

Can anyone offer help so the next time a GS is offered at 6:30am, I will hear more than the little chime from the banner notification? Thanks!

My phone number is in Icrew, so that's not the problem. I'm sure someone has had a similar problem.

Did you check within the ARCOs app itself? You can make a test call from the app to see if your phone rings.

Ill try that. Thank you!

I dove a little deeper and on one of the pages, it shows the incoming number....I called it and then checked on my recents log, and the number had been blocked for some reason. I don't know why, but I got it fixed.

I didn't realize the app had so much functionality. I never really clicked around in there.

Thanks again!

Your phone probably blocked it automatically due to all the nuisance calls!

I had to laugh the other day. I had literally just got home from a green slip and two hours later the phone rings for GS#2. My kid knows the "Delta" ring tone on my phone and just goes "Jeeze! Don't they know you already worked today?!" 😆

An arcos callout came at 1240am. It went straight to my voicemail as an unknown and never rang. Got the banner notification. Then at 540am got another that rang. Tested my number via the app and all checked ok. Maybe it just messes up sometimes. Very frustrating as the one I missed was perfect and I would have gotten it

before we gave away batch sizes we were on a pace to allow us to tailor ws and gs parameters with a reasonable chance that we could receive a call for the type of trip we really want. With a little more tweaking we could have imagined a setup where the pilot group would ‘proffer’ additional flying to the company. Oh well.

Closer to topic: if you have an iPhone on dnd then the call goes straight to vm iirc.

You can set up contacts to "ring through dnd" under the contact card. I've got family set to ring through and set company to ring through when it is beneficial to me. (Slips in and hoping.)

“Emergency Bypass” is the setting. It’s under “Ringtone” in each contact.

Works wonders.

Lightbulb Workarounds to Restricted #s

Not sure what the Android looks like, but at least on iPhone, with some effort, you can set the voicemail notification to sound off a ringtone instead of a simple chime/ding.

I have my do not disturb set such that Arcos (# and APP which also has a notification sound), family, CS (only for the short call version), but also the Phone "app" are on the allow list. In iOS, the "Phone" app winds up being the notification source for voicemails. So, after allowing notifications from the Phone "app" on your DND settings, leaving sound on (bell not crosshatched), and setting up an obnoxious "notification" tone for voicemails (via garageband app is the only way I am aware of), even though the call itself might not ring due to unkown #s, any voicemail left will "ring" you so long as the voicemail notification comes through.

Works great for me as I haven't had any situations where I got a voicemail late at night/early AM that wasn't pertinent. I've heard stories of CNO calls for hotel changes or trip assignments way earlier and at worse times than neecessary, but I wager anyone with the phone set on to allow CNO rings at night in hopes of an IA would have that problem either way. Such CNO nuisance voicemails may be mitigated via CNO restrictions on Deltanet.
