Default FAR117 question

Planning to follow up with ALPA tomorrow, but I got different answers from dispatch/crew tracking and duty pilot.

Part 117 table B - imagine if you will, being ATL based, and reporting for duty at 0600 local at SMF. Going to fly 3 legs. So do I enter the table at 06:00-06:59, which gives me 12 hours FDP, or do I enter at 07:00-11:59 (9:00 base time) which gives me 13 hours FDP?

From Scheduling Alert 17-10 FAR 117 Back to Basics:

The time is based on the last acclimated city time zone. The acclimated city will remain the same as the start of the rotation unless you change theaters and meet the FAR requirements to “re-acclimate.”

Last Acclimated City” is the time zone to use to determine the max FDP limit in Section 12 D. 2. and 3. which is the same as FAR 117 Table B and C.

For NB you’re always (99.9999969%) on your base time. Changing theaters is stuff of WB land (60 deg longitude) and not things to worry about if you landed in SMF as scheduled.

One exception to this is if you are on a OOBGS/WS etc. The acclimated time would be the base where you report.

I believe you misread the OP? "0600 local at SMF" is 0900 ATL (his base)....

Oh yes I did thank you. It's whatever base time he's acclimated at. Which is ATL. So thus 0900. I'll ask the mods to delete that since it's wrong. I should have some more coffee.

*** Mods can you please delete my post, it's #5. Thank you. I forgot SMF is Sacremento and thus is Pacific time zone. ***

And that answer has been confirmed. The interesting part is both I and the duty pilot entered the table at 0600 pacific time. Dispatch and tracking just said “you’re wrong” which ****ed me off and almost got them at fatigue call. So when I blocked in, I thought I had gone 3 min into an extension when in reality I still had another 57 min to go.
