C44 Involved in Walkout at ALPA BOD
Probably going to be a hot topic around the industry as a photo of the walkout with a political flag being displayed is circulating. Outgoing C44 Chair is pictured along with an incoming C44 FO Rep.

If you're on the FB meme page, its on there. They're holding a big red Trump flag. People are losing their minds...I think Godwin's law was triggered. |
Our group made huge contractual advances in 2012, 2016, and 2023. Ill let you all correlate that with the party overseeing the NMB during those years. Hint: it wasn’t mandarin mussolini or his party.

Always fun to see the complete and total disconnect that Trump cult lovers show when they are also seemingly pro-union lol...

Also gotta add that in 2020 we survived not because of that party. I kept my job because of that administration and he made it clear that airlines were essential to the country.

Neither candidate is pro-labor. Old school Democrat politicians used to be, but as my family members (lots of union trades guys/gals) have put it, "we didn't leave the Democrat party they left us"
One party is less actively anti-labor as a group but being not anti something doesn't make you pro something. I tend to vote R, if RFK Jr had made it as the D candidate I'd probably have switched sides for him. But we didn't get a real primary on either side. But this was poor form on the C44 reps. Not all pilots are Republican voting Uber Conservative. Not even in Atlanta. |

IMO, this isn't a Republican vs Democrat election. This is a USA vs Cult election. Any traditional Republican, John McCain(RIP), Mit Romney, George W Bush, John Kasich etc would have won this election in a landslide.

Most sane people are politically homeless these days.
The only way to truly affect change in our political system is to join a faction and work within it. Since both parties are dominated by their extremes, candidates spend their entire primary campaign trying to be the most extreme then spend the rest trying to convince the moderates they only need to hold their nose to tolerate them. Within my district, many of us worked to get a very extreme rep ousted during a primary. The candidate chosen is far more moderate. If we continue to remain agnostic, the rest of us will be forced to continue to watch out political system get torn apart by the fringes. The vast majority of us agree on a lot more than the candidates want us to believe. |
People can’t help themselves in these threads. It’s too tempting to bring the partisan politics in. Go somewhere else to yell at clouds and change zero minds on the election.
