The 50 pilots who used the HVC iPad app most certainly didn’t get letters. Definitely got a coupon for a new woven belt and cellphone holster though.

Guarantee most of those 1000 pilots are never handing out trading cards again. Or saying goodbye to pax or HVC cards or doing the countless little optional things that pilots with good morale can do to help the op.
Pilot morale is hard to put in a spreadsheet or quantify but it absolutely affects the operation big time. This is infuriating but it’s also just so so shortsighted. Hopefully see some comms from ALPA on this soon. |

Sick is in the PWA it's also a regulation (we all know that).
This smells like some lower level Smurf in flt ops got a little too far over their skies ( I'm hoping this is the case and that it didn't come from a SVP). |

from J.H., the newly appointed Director of flying operations. Not sure if that qualifies as low level to you or not.

Having now seen a copy of someone’s letter, the tone-deaf nature reminds me of the BP memo we saw several years ago. Funny how the pilot group never heard from BP again after that. JH will be shoved aside as the next scapegoat, as RG and others continue to pull the strings in the background. |

Odd JH just left the regional director job up in the NE. |

That’s the problem right there. JH has been “low level” for over a decade in the assortment of different 4th floor positions he’s held. He just can’t seem to jump high enough to make it to mid level. The fallout from this is NOT going to bode well for his managerial career.
