honestly, tipping isn’t a thing in most Asia. Us flight crews just wanna feel like we are important or something, i guess.

Well, the inflight front line on the bus hasn't gotten that memo in Incheon. Just sayin'

When I did Japan tipping was considered an insult. It was seen as the upper class assigning someone to a lower status in need of assistance and therefore an assault on honor.

Good service is the expectation. My first (and last) time tipping in a Japanese restaurant, the waitress flagged me down and humbly returned my cash tip as though I had mistakenly left it on the table.

yep. china, taiwan, hk and etc. never expects a tip. If you leave a few spare coins, they just assume you forgot, and they swipe it in their pocket, never assumed. Same in Korea and Vietnam.

I agree with Trip, the comment was about DTW 350A. As a junior A holding DTW, you’re spending 80% of your layovers in Inchon or Haneda. Yeah all those cities you mentioned would be nice but they’re flown out of LAX, SEA, or ATL. PVG does go out of DTW but a 29 hour 3 day? Good luck even holding that on weekends.

You must be new to the DTW A350. You'll see lots of AMS in the summer.

Pretty sure PVG is 4-days so it can go more junior.
