Any idea if these are weekly or daily slots, and do we have a quantifiable number of how many of these slots will be flown by mainline vs "larger" RJ's?

Also did the recent AE account for this anticipated flying and positions?

Does "Larger Jets" mean 76 seaters?

At LGA, Delta expects expanded employment opportunities as we expand our flight schedules there.

Man, I hope thats really directed at us, I fear 76 seaters being given a lot of room there as they're probably right sized for a lot of flying out of LGA. Too bad we don't have them here.

My favorite part of the airticle:

In addition to changing the signage around the terminal, my guess is Delta will be restocking all levels of the terminal with fresh pigeons and rats. This will allow a seamless transition for customers who regularly fly out of JFK, while bringing the aesthetic appeal of their "new" terminal in LGA "up" to the standards of all Delta terminals in the New York area.

Good point Johnso29, as I re-read it I saw that. Also, the concept of carrying more pax per takeoff points to mainline jets. Perhaps the emplyment oppurtunities were for gatehouse/ramp types.

Nahh, MD-90's, DC-9's, A319's..... will be perfect and it looks like we might be hiring again as far as I can see...

Sounds like mainline to me. I am really starting to like the way our management operate.

Any word on whether the 1500nm restriction will be lifted out of LGA? That would almost certainly mean more mainline jets in and out of there.
