If you live in base and don't mind sitting reserve for a long time, it's fine. Great airplane(s), good trips. Reserve guarantee will be equal to flying 85 hours on the small stuff. Green slips still a possibility on your X days. If you get displaced a year or 2 down the road, there are some advantages to that: Paid move, displace to anything/base you can hold. Probably not a good gig if you're a commuter

Is ATL the only 717 base right now? The New Hire Gouge Spreadsheet lists DTW as well, but the class drops it lists only show ATL717. Is there still talk of putting 717s in NYC or anywhere else? Thanks, getting ready to pick for the 16 Jun class.

The 717 is in ATL and DTW. They say they expect to see an increase in DTW 717 flying in the latter half of the year and will add pilots then. They also say the 2015 network plan will be out soon and they will post additional openings once they have a chance to analyze the plan.

I've heard talk of a NYC 717 base but I don't know if any decisions have been made.

Great news. The poolie spreadsheet has officially died! I was offered 7 July class date today. Seeing as I only interviewed 2 weeks ago, that means everyone interviewing now will be in July and August classes. No more pool!

Amen, bro. See you there!

That's great! It really was turning into a cesspool. Didn't anyone get out of it before going to the bathroom?
