Refusing To Resign

Clearly the TA will fail if the voting is not rigged.

Don't think for a second the MEC officers and the negotiating committee are going to resign.

They are completely out of touch and filled with entitlement.

If the yes voting MEC members refuse to recall them, we can call special LEC meetings to recall the them.

Be prepared to attend meetings or sign a proxy.

We will get the C2015 we were promised.

While I hope that you are correct that C2015 will fail and the sentiment certainly is different this time, but you have to remember that there are a good many pilots that a. just go by the unions recommendation and b. go home and vote yes while beating their chests that they voted no.

C2012 passed by the same margin that every TA has passed by and as usual you can't find a pilot that voted for it.

BobZ 06-28-2015 11:12 AM

it will pass.....55/45. with 29,000 votes cast.

As predicted a month ago.

What? Piles of guys right here and that you meet on the line admit to voting for C2012??

MOTOJOE 06-28-2015 11:34 AM

I voted yes, c2012. Not this time! No for me.

lemooron 06-28-2015 11:40 AM

Yes for C2012 and everything else. No way this time.

I guess I should have said right after it closed for c2012. If you went in the pilot lounge and asked around the ratio of basically 60/40 just didn't add up.

I counted. I have 22 Delta pilot phone numbers in my cell phone. I texted each of them. 3 are voting yes (2 are in management positions and 1 is a union guy) 1 doesn't know yet and 18 are No voters ranging in seniority from 747 Capt to 717 FO. So by that sampling it should fail, however I'm not going to bet the farm on it.

That is actually a better sampling than the DPA exit poll. Your sample is pretty random and covers many seniorities.

The problem with polling is it doesn't pick up the quiet Yes, just want to get along group.

I know that I will work until the last day of voting to educate and distribute information. If you think you are winning, you've lost. Stay hungry.

Because once every pilot gets home and sees that he could get paid a little more by voting yes, they do. They just want to save face in front of everyone else. TA will pass, 48% of our pilots are 55 and older. Gotta stuff the mattress!!

I don't know, I've gotten a few emails from guys all of whom are voting No. I went to the Seattle LEC meeting last week and with about 60 present, not one expressed support of the this TA and Seattle is not staffed with "young" pilots.

cni.....im way past 50....and my pov is stuffing the mattress is a far more certain thing with the status quo perhaps 20+ percent in feb and the schedule raise in jan...than anything this offers.

but...stuffing the mattress is not my first priority....having been relegated to purgatory by those ahead of myself and contemporaries on the list....I resolved as a new hire b-scaler....making $1800 a month....that I would never be 'that guy'.

I cant support anything that makes those behind me worse off than at a MINIMUM...the status quo.

You want to get my attention? times are good....so how about filling EVERY pilots 401 to the 415c ceiling every year for the term of the ta?

RockyBoy 06-28-2015 02:13 PM

Yes voter for C2012...easy No on C2015 for me. Vote is already cast.

I also know a half dozen or so FO's who voted yes on C2012 that are NO voters on C2015. If it passes, it is going to be a close one this time.

I want the 8% raise as much as the next guy, but I have 26 more years to work here. I don't want to deal with watching widebody jobs go overseas (ALPA sure is worried about ME3, but doesn't seem to care about JV partners taking our flying), DCI getting more RJ's every contract, replacing M88's with lower paying equipment, getting harassed when sick, pulling trips from the PBS pool for FO's, working more days each month, and working for a company that gives 6 BILLION dollars to shareholders while telling us to keep our backpacks on.

If we don't stop the train now, it won't get stopped. VOTE NO!

gzsg 06-28-2015 02:59 PM

This is so different from C2012

We could look at DPA 99% NO.

Or Facebook 2300 plus no.

Or chit chat 99% No.

I base my prediction on this forum.

Mostly pro ALPA. Very pro Delta.

As Denny goes, so go the Delta pilots.

85% NO. 15% yes.
