As a reference UPS pilots get 3 hours ( not 5 ) for a vacation day that falls on days off.
Grea job from a non delta pilot |
1. No LCA Trip pull.
2. Leave sick leave the way it is. 3. 8/6/3/3. If you want to trade some PS 8/11.75/3/3. 4. If you want a BH ration in the JV scope it needs to be 52%. 5. Industry leading vacation and training pay. 6. Night override. 7. International override to Mexico/Canada. That will get a yes out of me. |

Well #4 is apparently less than we had in TA 1, so there's a winner.
I don't want more vacation days. I want more $/day. In this job if you cannot bid around the days you need you are junior in a senior category. 1-3, Good luck wid dat. You gonna step up? I am sure there are gonna be some openings. |

Well aren't you a little worker bee. I want more vacation days, more than I need more $/day. Time is money to me. Especially as you get older.
This is one of many areas we ARE NOT industry leading. We used to get seven, (7) weeks of vacation. And what's up with this stupid :15 vac pay no/credit for bidding. Dumb. And if you are going to let me move four days of vac using APD rules, then give me four more days of vacation! Thats a no brainer! Idiotic TA. Very deceptive. |

Who GAS about 7 weeks of vacation? It's like getting huge money for the 747. BFD. You have to be here a hundred years to get it. I can turn a 1 week vacation into 2+ without even trying all that hard. If you can't, I hope you are senior to me. ;)

Because junior, when you get older you need more time off. You'll see. BTW, you also need more sick time off. You get sicker. You'll see.

Last I checked, we took a survey. A survey that is in ALPAs possession. All this back and forth picking is pointless.
I do have an opinion that the survey was filled with leading questions and questions that really went nowhere. But, we have already been surveyed. That said, I was a guy that said don't touch profit sharing, but I would, after months of pondering, trade it apart from pay rates for a fixed 30% raise. Many of us, with this TA in front of us, came to terms with our minimum acceptable terms. I am proud of the folks that voted not to accept the TA. I also really think we need to come to terms with the fact that we are in the drivers seat. It may take some time, but we have no one to blame but ourselves if we can't get a heaping helping of restoration. We know what the company wanted at this point. Wouldn't our time be better used not arguing over tidbits, but instead come up with real and acceptable solutions to the company's wants that coincide with our wants too? For example a 6 hour min day... It's a raise for days worked, it gets senior FOs to upgrade and it's productive for the company. It's a simple example, but IMO, it's the direction we should be brainstorming. |
