Default Recalls and the dpa difference

RECALLS AND THE DPA DIFFERENCE

With all of the talk circulating around the recall of those responsible for creating, selling and accelerating this last TA, now is a good time to see how the DPA way of doing things is so valuable to you. While ALPA dodges recalls through procedure loopholes and considers funding full-time Flight Pay Loss Recall Teams to combat the process and keep self-interested people in power, DPA welcomes recalls.

ALPA's Constitution was written to protect ALPA and control its members. DPA's Constitution was written to protect the Pilots and control the union. The DPA Open Recall System is unique in the industry and puts YOU in charge of the union. Here is how it works:

1. Go to the DPA RECALL page on our website (after we win the vote) and click on the tab.
2. Look in the drop-down list for the elected official you have heartburn with.
3. Click on their name.
4. View three numbers by their name (total pilots responsible to, 25% of total, and current total)
5. Click ADD MY NAME and watch the current total go up by one.
6. When the current total meets the 25% total, an automatic Recall vote is triggered.
7. 50% plus one of the total responsible pilots vote to recall the leader. The leader is OUT.

This recall list is a DYNAMIC list where you can also click REMOVE MY NAME. Every morning, every elected DPA official will grab their coffee and probably take a quick look at their personal recall list. They will probably want to contact you and discuss why your name is on their list. Perhaps that open dialogue will cause them to respond differently to their members.

Contrast our system with the current ALPA dysfunction and you can see that the DPA choice is easy. Stop investing in a failed structure. Pour all of your efforts into DPA.
