Try Sugarhouse. I've lived here now for 6 years. Great place for kids. Lots to do

If you don't mind a drive of about 1.5 hours, look North in Cache Valley. Logan area is a cool college town and the prices there are way less than anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley and probably half of what you will pay in Park City, Heber or Morgan areas.

I lived in Logan too. Great place. A bit far of a drive in the winter. But you gotta love the Beaver.

Take a look at Suncrest down in Draper. On the top of South Mountain, incredible views, above the inversion, great lifestyle yet close to everything. Mountain top restaurant and Rec Center with outdoor pool. Lotta DL and SKW families. Good schools..close to Juan Diego Catholic HS, Channing Hall IB Charter, Summit Charter, and Draper/Alpine PS system. Will have to drive the kids down on the Draper side cause the road gradient is too steep for school busses..Alpine side OK. Homes range from 200k townhouse to 1.5 M estates..most in 350 to 500K range. SLC is the best base in the system..and that's why it's so senior! Good Luck..

The city of Salt Lake is under 50% Mormon population and has been for a long time. The worse thing about Slc besides the drinking laws are the schools. Park City, Alpine including Suncrest depending on which side, and Kaysville have the best schools. Otherwise you'll see 5 or 6's on great schools, if that is your sort of thing. Slc is growing like crazy and is a great town. It's come a long way since I've left. The inversion and winters can suck but that makes skiing an easier choice. My parents had one of the first houses on Suncrest and winters are brutal. Plus driving up and down the hill sucks. If you decide to go that route check the foundations. There were multiple lawsuits against the developers and builders. Park City is awesome but the amount of money to buy is crazy. I would look at Heber, Oakley, and surrounding communities.
Maybe I'm missing the joke but what is Park Angeles?
