Default Extracurricular Flying

I've seen it more at the other Majors but trying to get a bead on DL's practices. From what I've read, because of Delta Private Jets there is a conflict of interest in any sort of 135/91 flying while working for Delta. Any other stories out there?

The DL PWA addresses this, as I'm sure DPJ policy does. What exactly are you asking?

What is your question?

I think he might be asking if you're allowed to do any outside flying as a Delta pilot. The answer: No outside flying for scheduled carriers and nothing that would create a conflict of interest in a business sense.

He said "because of DPJ" blah blah blah "conflict at Delta" but Shirley he can't possibly be asking if he gets on with Delta can he still fly for DPJ. That would be hilarious.

I think the question was more, "if I'm at Delta and can pick up a trip at Bob's 135 would that be prohibited because it's a conflict of interest with DPJ?"

More like Bob's Pt 91 Global 5000. I think I'll just err on the side of caution and stow away the type and get comfortable in my MadDog

Over the years I have flown with several pilots who flew commercially on the side.
135/91, mostly commuters from Florida.
There is a form on flt ops site you need to fill out asking for company approval.

Or how about being a simulator instructor for some other company, while also flying for DL?

Any commercial flying you do outside Delta still counts against your FAR max, but the simulator doesn't.
