Yep, not Sept, but given the way things are going I cannot see it here in a year. Stinks but DAL has been closing bases for quite some time now.

Probably not in most bases, but the 767 converting to 7ER in SLC will boot some fellas out of the base unless they really grow the numbers in the ER category. Alot of SLC guys commute to LAX and even ATL to do ER flying and I'd bet a some of those will come back. Also it will be an open bid for anyone allowing the fNWA guys who want into SLC on the 7ER to get there. Not all of them have gotten in because there were no vacancies in the 767 on the last two bids. I'll stick to my prediction that some of the junior 320 guys will get displaced as guys trickle down through the categories when guys come into the base with the 7ER bid. Hopefully I'm very wrong.

Yeah, DAL did it by age in 1987, too. I didn't like it then, because I was 28 years old, and was junior to most of the class. I'm beginning to get over it now, though...

I'm guessing that the DC9 is about 3/4 the size of a A320... but that is just a guess.

It's a Boeing or I ain't going.

Thanks for the good info fellas. I hear good things related to the 88 and QOL. What about holding ATL on the 88 as an FO? Would that take years? Is there a quickest way to ATL? Now that I got the hard part done, there's a lot to figure out. BTW, I heard the SSN was from high to low now, anyone know true or false? Looking forward to pushing up everyones seniority!

You are worrying about this -get me to ATL- thing wayyy too soon.

There are many guys stuck in NYC who have been there for years, on the bottom. They are ahead of you, they will get back to ATL before you, so don't sweat it.

You'll have plenty of time to figure it out when you get out of school and hit the line. That's when you should start asking questions of the other pilots you fly with, they can fill you in.

Welcome aboard, it's been too long since DAL did any hiring, we are all glad to see that again. I hope it continues but it sounds like they have already shut it down?
