Dang... I'm 52x12, and that's a lot of ratio.

My S3 freezes on the startup page, cant enter PIN or do anything else for that matter.

I really don't like having to lug around the extra battery, cords etc. Other than that it seems to perform just like the S2.

imo just sucks a bit more.

I have had my S3 for a couple months. I am not impressed.

The extra battery is a burden. Heavy, awkward and an accident waiting to happen.

The S3 itself is lighter but that is because the keyboard is lighter due to the fact there is no battery in it. I know our S2 battery keyboard fits the S3. I am wondering if we can use it for flight? This would be a better option than lugging the external brick battery around.

The S3 is just as slow as the S2 when utilizing or opening Jepp and Content locker.

The S3 has been freezing more than the S2.

Sometimes the S3 kicks off the wifi signal, thus needing to restart.

Overall, I am not impressed with S3. Its cool not having to do paper revisions but I am spending a lot of time restarting, downloading, uploading, rebooting and worrying about the S3. Plus, my bag seems much fuller and heavier compared to the previous flight bag I had filled with Jepp paper charts.

Default personal account

Is there somewhere that teaches you how to setup the personal account on the s3? I tossed all the instructions already. Thanks!

Go to deltanet and click my division, then select EFB in bottom right region of screen, then Surface 3 setup instructions. #8. Personal Profile Setup on page 10.

.
Great idea, but the battery in the S2 keyboard is 12v and the S3 is a 5v machine. So unless you want to simulate a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, do not use the old kybd with the S3 Surface. (The good news about the S3 battery is that it has a standard USB micro plug and essentially ANY USB plugged charger will charge the S3 including my iphone charger!)
