Default Upcoming VEBA Spin

Here you go Darma, Jr Bond, Rube.

Explain why we should have one ounce of faith in this administration after the ill-conceived, unwanted and clueless VEBA.

Spin away.

We are in a boxed canyon of the admins own making.

We have to hold this table position and wait for a new leader on January 1st.

Clean slate

No concessions

19% back pay to 1/1/16 including profit sharing and DC.

No change to profit sharing and tighter language to stop any creative accounting write offs to reduce it.

Finally hold Captain Dickson to "industry leading work rules and benefits"

Like medical insurance and the FedEx 6 hours per day vacation and 5:15 for a training day.

You really need to take some time off from these forums. Earlier today, you started a post titled "VEBA No $50,000 Survivorship"
.
Now that ALPA has clarified that there IS a survivorship path, rendering your previous post to be completely UNTRUE, you start a new post now hoping to bury the first one which, AGAIN, was proven to be pure ranting bull********.
.
Yea, yea, I know you're going to respond that you qualified your earlier BASELESS post by saying "if this is true", but how about you hold off on posting unless you KNOW it to be true. Oh yea, that would mean no more posting for gzsg. Pretty pathetic.

Is VEBA discussed in the latest polling, or is its retraction from section 6 evidence that the MEC is listening to direct input from the membership?

There was none for single pilots with no eligible dependants.

So sad how pilots like you only care about yourselves?

Does it concern you that mistakes of this magnitude are being made by our attorneys?

This is kindergarten stuff.

Don't worry about JV scope, they have that down.

And besides, what could go wrong?

Awesome, why shield money from taxes? In fact, why don't we all just voluntarily send more money to the IRS to make these 12 clowns happy. This shows what a bunch of fools we have in the majority of the MEC. What clowns.

There will be time to address this outside of section 6. We are narrowing the negotiations, that's a good thing.

You had no idea what VEBA would have looked like, no one did, to include our union. The concept could be a benefit to us, but it needs to be fully defined and understood from day one. This is a good item to move forward on when we know what it will look like.

Agree with notEnuf.

Bananie,

DALPA and the company have agreed to remove the VEBA issue from sect 6 to be addressed at a later date after a more thorough analysis of the vehicle. It's refreshing to see DALPA want to take more time to explore an issue and ALL of it's possible consequences. Even more encouraging is the company's willingness to address it later - provided they actually keep their word.

Apparently you wanted your hard earned money to go back to ALPA. The majority didn't.
