ALPA Dues

Should DALPA push for lower dues.

If you vote yes by what percentage?

I say a 30% reduction in dues is appropriate.

My thought was by a least as much as was adde3d by the last round of agreements. The books were balanced prior to the increased revenue so the increased funds would not be necessary. Not sure what percent that would be but 18% should be doable at a minimum.

Minimum 30.19%

It needs to be brought down incrementally to between 1.25-1.5%. If a large carrier like AA joins ALPA, closer to 1.25% would suffice.

What's this 1.25% stuff?

Let's reduce it by an amount that requires ALPA to "reasonably" budget their money.

I'd say reduce it to 1%. If there's a need for more during a time of increased ALPA services, we can initiate an assessment to cover the increased costs.

What do "independent" unions like APA, IPA and SWAPA pay for dues as a percentage of pay?

Moondog 12-19-2016 06:26 AM

I think 1% sounds good.

Really?

007,

What do you mean by, "really?"

You sound like a smart, fiscally responsible gentleman? Why not hold ALPA-National to the sane standard. Fiscal responsibility is a long lost art of bloated bureaucracy. I think it's time we tighten the reigns.

I'm just curious about those who voted no to a dues increase- anyone care to chime in with reasoning?
