Consolidated MD-88 gouge card

Esteemed drivers of direct cable aircraft:

I am going to build myself a card or two of limits and procedures (to avoid digging in my surface across four manuals for things I can't remember) for quick reference. In the spirit of working smarter, however, I figured I'd canvas the crowd to see if anybody had such things sitting around.

If you have something you'd like to contribute, reply or PM me. I'll set up a google drive folder and give you permissions to drop your work in there if you like.

I intend to combine what, if anything, is contributed, then make the product public.

Sparky, Flght Station/Crew Outfitters used to sell a comprehensive hard card/eye chart for the M88 that was tailored to Delta and covered everything from systems to single engine app procedures. I don't have mine anymore but it may be worth a phone call to ATL to see if they still have any left in the back storeroom. It was easy to add M90 specifics but you'll have to disregard the AHRS info!

I know a lot has changed since I flew it 6 yrs ago..but it might be a good place to start. After all, the JT8D always stays the same!:). Good luck, CG

Ask one of the mil guys in your class. They always pass along some good gouges.

Please tell me they are not still saying "1 place, right place"

Ask a guy who came off the 88 and went to the 717 whether the 717's forward stake heat is pneumatic or is it electric?

According to the DGS instructors the most important thing for you to know about the preflight was what the grate behind the APU was.

Sparky, the one thing I use now is OneNote. You have it on the tablet and you can amend it as much as you want and you don't have to print out any paper.

It's like having a notebook. The EFB version is not the full version of it but it does the trick. You can create a subject like Limitations, another Memory Items, another systems and so on. Keep it simple so it's just a quick review and it's always there on your tablet.
