Default Colorado Springs

If you have some time to kill in Colorado Springs there is a cozy little place just to the west up in the mountains. It's home cooked meals Sun-Sat for breakfast and lunch and they just started serving dinner Thur-Sun. They are closed for a couple of hours between lunch and dinner. If you're heading up there in the middle of the summer during tourist season call before leaving the airport and make a reservation. The place seats about 100. They're best know for their breakfasts. In the summer time they have seating outside in the front overlooking a small lake across the parking lot and a nice beer garden out back. If the wait is too long there is another place just around the corner for steak and seafood. The Mucky Duck. It takes about 30-40 minutes to drive up to there. From the airport just start heading out on US24 West. You'll go past Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. On the way back down the mountain it would be worth hoping off the highway and cruising through these two sections of town if you have the time.
