All good points, and makes sense. Which is why I have never even considered SSP/E2D/DGI as a route for me at all. Never even entered into my equations. It might be a “plan” for someone who comes here in their 20’s, but it makes little sense in the 30s, and 40’s up? Fuggedaboudit!!

We'll know more when the details come out but edging on the side of worst case scenario, it's written as 12 per month average. That's 144 per year max under the current language. Assuming the first eligible person interviews January 1, 2019. Someone hired NOW with over 1000 people ahead of him would be looking at 7 years (Jan 1 2026).
We can say 'well obviously all those people won't go through the dgi, be eligible, stay, etc'. But I'm just saying, on paper worst case scenario, this is the deal we've got now. Non-contractually I might add...

It was, Comair pushed for DOH integration based on then ALPA merger policy... hence a big part of why that policy no longer exists. Delta, of course, said no deal and the ASA guys unfortunately were also dropped from the offer and the rest as they say is history.

I was told by a then ASA MEC member that the staple offer was neveer made. Comair went right for the DOH and turded the punchbowl before they even made the punch.
