Quote: That’s a good point, and I have wondered the same thing myself. Maybe it’s looked upon as a chance for the training dept to catch up? IDK. But it would be nice if a person with a class date a few weeks out could opt in for an earlier training date. In order of date of CJO, of course.
I imagine there is a few weeks backlog in sim training they’re looking to clear up. In addition to the initial training there has been a very large amount of upgrade and differences training taking place with the closing of the MSP 200 base.
Quote: A short backlog may be a good thing. What I don't understand is that folks with CJOs are being told that the company does not keep a list of people who are available to go to an earlier class if an opening pops up, even last minute. Then I see on 9E's Facebook page where the class that started today only has 21 pilots.
Class sizes are capped at 25 right now from what I've been told. My guess is that there were 4 no-shows if it started with 21

Hard to believe that there would be that many no shows. Do people really just not show up and not bother to call anyone beforehand? Regardless, I would have flown up there this evening if they'd asked me. How much is covered on the 1st day that could not be made up at a later date?

I am sure people gave notice...just think they just chose not to backfill. Really no point for the company to do it if there is a sim backup anyways.

When is the new sim coming online?

My guess is their cap of 50
New pilots a month has something to do with trying to upgrade 50 captains.
It’s real simple. If you disagree with something I say, prove me wrong. If you don’t like something I say, move along. There is no requirement to respond to my posts.

Quote: Wtf does this even mean? Why is it that whenever I check in on these misinformed, fear mongoring, confirmation biased forums(every couple of weeks), that it’s always you spewing hot trash. Get a hobby, or some friends dude.
From your choices I would go to psa... the wholly owns pay will be increased to edv pay rates shortly.

I'd be surprised if it's "shortly" they're still filling classes and have no reason to up it. If they do they just increase retention at the top which they don't want.

Quote: That's so funny to hear. They fly with engines under their wings so they think they're mainline yet can't figure out how to fly the expressway visual into LGA(seen 2 GA's in the last 3 weeks by them) Unsure of why they need to beat their chests. We're all regionals at the end of the day flying contracted work for a fraction of the value. But whatever gets them hard at night.
I have yet to meet a single RAH pilot who believes we are mainline. Have you had conversations with RAH pilots that left you with that impression?
