Sad,
RIP to him and the other guy. Prayers to the families & friends for the loss, sorrow & hurt these tragedies have caused.
Be safe out there people, even if you live in a small town.
Those commuting or who driving 1hr to over 2hrs for work. Limit your risk exposures. My opinion and experience is that NYC area has a ton of unaccounted for risks and less rewards. Dangers from various angles, city violations, risks from various sources & likelihood of negativity all over NYC boroughs. You might be safe, but external forces and risks exposures might be unavoidable. NYC is a growing problem.

Note there's a different GoFundMe set up for his wife and daughter. This is the one closing in on 30k so far.

If you look at the list of donors, dozens of EDV folks have offered support. Reinforces the type of group we work with. I just made a modest donation myself. Needless to say, we should all hold our loved ones a little closer this week.
RIP CA Ryan, the few times we crossed paths, you left a positive impression. Stay safe, everyone!
