New 175SCs (69 seat config) are for OO as they dump their EV 700s.

Also, if OO has an equity stake in those aircraft, it would be crazy for Delta to not take that deal. It's practically of no cost to them. Don't see why Delta would buy SCs, give them to 9E when OO can wet lease them to Delta. But I will say that this is pure speculation. I have no actual of what I call hearsay on this matter.

Who said anything about OO or EV? Somebody else operates 700’s

But Delta owns those 700s. Wouldn’t make much sense to dump them for a new aircraft type at EDV, when they could come straight over...

Besides, the contract on those 700s was extended for 7 years.
/sarcasm

Those Delta owned CR7s with a CA tail have been ridden hard and put away wet. Keep in mind, we have a substantial number 200s that are newer than most of the CA 700s. While the 200 utilization has really gone down over the past few years, those 700s have been driven like a rented mule.

If it was true that the contract was extended why wouldn’t GoJets be screaming that from every rooftop. They need to look stable to try and attract new hires. This was stated by one person on APC with zero evidence to support it.

Looks like it's coming from MSP with a scheduled layover in LAS.

You're telling me...I have to fly around mountains??

🤔🤔🤔🤔

KSCessnaDriver 06-19-2018 02:54 AM

I’d say it’s simply just a network planning issue at Delta. In 2017 at one point, it showed us operating SEA up to Alaska in CR7s...

I don’t really feel like doing this kind of digging but is this the only flight out west we have our name on? One flight means they just put us there as a place holder until Skywest or compass gets added to it. I feel like i remember like a year ago someone posted something like we had some salt lake flights.

TalkTurkey 06-19-2018 10:56 AM

Gentlemen, don't fall under the false impression of us flying out west yet. On Fridays, the out and back from LAS-SJC goes up to 4. The 7:55pm flight is usually operated by Compass with the exception of OO every blue moon. I am leaning towards the opinion that this is an added segment that was placed out for sale for either CZ or OO to operate. Since none of them have bid or assigned the route, DL auto-assigned it to us. I believe that it will change in time. Probably a clerical error if you will. If I am correct, neither LAS nor SJC are in our OPSPECS. I think you can verify by not seeing any data in our iPads. There is a CO page that dates back to when the XJ OPSPEC had flown out west.

TT

TalkTurkey 06-19-2018 10:57 AM

I would like to place emphasis on the word YET on the previous comment.

N914FJ 06-19-2018 02:06 PM

It's just a placeholder. They had listed CPZ as doing DTW-SYR and other east coast flights on delta.com last December after the MSP closure was announced. Nothing to see here

blackdenton 06-19-2018 05:13 PM

I was at HQ today guys, lots of people with Compass badges in the cafeteria so I think it's happening!

It's true, and it says "property of Delta Airlines" on back of their badge too now!

This. Sometimes we have a SAN-LAX flight that says its operated by Republic. You can imagine what that did to the TSH-Republic buyout rumors.

You've committed a crime that's punishable by death. It is not Property of Delta Airlines. Look again.

They fixed this btw....

And JM confirmed the 700's aren't coming here.

Not looking good for fleet growth announcements think year.

Delta should just finally do it, and drop the Lines from its name all together. When Endeavor Air was named, it was forbidden to name it Endeavor Airlines.

Yet they increased hiring and are hiring sim instructors. 700s could be for RAH.

Something is obviously going on. Hiring a lot of sim instructors and going back to 60 a month on new hire training which is much higher than what our attrition is.

No No No. It's public info now. TT brought it to you first, but its now public. Those are skywest planes to replace Comair 700s that are owned by Delta. So for those who say, "but OO owns all their own planes," no they don't. E175SCs were originally going to replace them. Delta chose the CRJ-900SC A-Gen. DISCLAIMER: A-Gen is a nomenclature I have given ;):)

Even United modernized to United Airlines...in the 80s I think. Although there are still aerodromes about where you can see hangars sporting the archaic United Air Lines facia.

Any more context of why CRJ vs E175SC?

Not that I've heard of. What I do know is that many medallion gods voice their disdain for pink-tagged flights. My guess would be that Delta got a better deal on A-Gen (bigger overhead compartment) CRJs as opposed to the far-more-in-demand EJets which I would imagine price far higher. Plus, I believe Delta has a longer and more efficient business relationship with Bombardier.

Play both sides of the field and you won't get hosed in future negotiations.
