Upgrading upon reaching 1000 - 121 hours?

Before I get shamed... I did search and didn't find a recent relevant answer.

I understand things can change, but can one expect to upgrade upon reaching 1000 hours of 121 time? Seems to be about 1 year and a half in some other places.

Not expecting holding a line would be possible, just wondering if upgrade time here is where some other regionals are.

Our last award was given to someone with 1224 hours of company time. Right now, attrition is pretty low at around 15 a month. Once Delta starts hiring again we should go back to 30+ leaving a month and I would suspect we will be awarding people with exactly 1,000 hours company/121 time within a couple months. We are suppose to see 25% growth, so that will create a lot of upgrades as well.

There a difference between 121 time and Company time.
Chances are you’d upgrade pretty quickly. We were upgrading after FO OE recently for those who qualified.
As for a line.. you’re at the bottom of the list... it’ll be a while

Gone are the days of 7-8 years in the right seat. Come here, build your time and experience, and you'll transition to the left before you know it. 14-20 months will go by in a blink.

One of the things I really enjoy about being here is that everyone is rowing the same direction. I've found very little divisiveness among my peers, a few odd ducks, but for the most part, this place is a winning culture. I'm just waiting for Delta to turn the spigot back on so we can start seeing some nice progression again.

I agree. We are winning because everyone is on the same page company, union, employees, etc. It’s nice to work somewhere that everyone wants to be successful...

These kinds of comments are why I am now leaning towards Endeavor instead of PSA.

Except for Crew Scheduling. They'll outright tell you to violate the contract.

That happens everywhere.

Really? Will they? Did this actually happen to you or did you hear this in the crew room? Honestly, unless you have specific examples of violations you're willing to own up to and bring up in FCR or ASAP reports, stop posturing.

I haven't had anything short of exceptional service from the CS team. Sure, some new talent down there from the sounds of it, but I've had good experiences in my nearly 2 years with the company.

If scheduling violates the contract, tell them. Usually a supervisor is able to rectify the issue. Usually this is in regard to reserve assignments. If you still feel they’re in the wrong, fill out a pilot issue form and the union will negotiate a settlement from the company within 3-6 months, usually 4 hours. I don’t believe most places have the remedy request process we have and there is no other regional where management is as willing to work with the union to make things right as Endeavor.
